Message from BOD Chairperson
On behalf of the Board of Directors (BOD), I welcome you to NAFOPHANU website. As an umbrella organisation that coordinates all networks of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) in Uganda, be it at national or decentralized level, we believe that good governance, meaningful and strategic partnerships, as well as effective coordination leads to stronger and sustainable networks.
PLHIV in Uganda and the rest of the world should not be dying of AIDS related deaths. This can only happen if the Greater/Meaningful Involvement of PLHIV (G/MIPA) principle is applied, a deliberate plan to reduce stigma and discrimination is in place, empowerment of PLHIV is undertaken to promote positive living.
We have a five-year strategic plan 2021-2025 that is aimed at generating revenue and developing expertise that will help in policy formulation and decision making.
I call upon all of you to join us in the fight against HIV in Uganda.

NAFOPHANU is governed by the Board of Directors whose term is two years. The BOD members are elected by the NAFOPHANU members during Annual General Meeting. They are eligible for re-election for a term of two years. The role of the Board is to organize, govern and administer the affairs of NAFOPHANU whilst meeting the appropriate interests of its stakeholders.
